Samsung expands April 2024 security update to carrier-locked Galaxy S23 FE

Samsung, right after releasing One UI 6.1 to the Galaxy S23 FE, started rolling out the April 2024 security patch to the smartphone. First, the company made it available to the carrier-locked variant of the device for the United States and then to the international version of the smartphone. Now, the tech giant is expanding the same security update to the carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy S23 FE for the US, which has the model number SM-S711U1.

The new software update changes the firmware version of the Galaxy S23 FE to S711U1UES3CXD2. Samsung has made the update available to devices on almost all networks, including AT&T and T-Mobile, and Verizon. You can either get the update over the air or download the new firmware from our database and install it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 FE in October 2023 with Android 13 (One UI 5.1). Just two months later, the company upgraded the phone to Android 14 (One UI 6.0), and as mentioned earlier, the brand recently released One UI 6.1 to the device. The smartphone is eligible to get two more versions of the OS, including Android 15 (One UI 7.0), which should arrive later this year. On the other hand, it will get security updates for four more years.
