Samsung TV Plus celebrates Taylor Swift with documentaries and more

Taylor Swift is taking over Samsung TV Plus, or at least a couple of TV Plus channels. In anticipation of the artist's upcoming eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, Samsung TV Plus has added new content Taylor Swift fans can enjoy for free.

The ad-based Samsung TV Plus platform is now streaming three Taylor Swift documentaries on Backstage (channel 1085) and more Taylor Swift content on XITE Hits (channel 1503) throughout the week.

The first Taylor Swift documentary on Backstage, The Complete Taylor Swift Story, debuted on April 15. And there is a lot to take in. Taylor Swift has had a successful music career of 18 years and counting.

The documentary details the artist's career, starting with her moving to Nashville at age 13 only to be rejected by some major labels. Luckily, RCA Records offered her a deal a year later, and at age 15, she became the youngest artist signed by Sony (via Culturess).

Two other Taylor Swift documentaries and more

Two other documentaries are streaming on Samsung TV Plus. They're titled Taylor Swift: Wild Dreams and Taylor Swift: Dare to Dream. The former focuses more on the artist's music, and the latter dives deeper into her journey so far.

In addition to these documentaries, XITE Hits is streaming related content throughout the week. Today at 8:00-10:00 pm EST, you can watch The Evolution of Taylor Swift.

On April 19 at the same hours, Samsung TV Plus users can enjoy The Best of Taylor Swift. And on April 20, they can check out a Taylor Swift Music Video Party. XITE Hits also offers 24/7 on-demand Taylor Swift music playlists.

The Tortured Poets Department, which contains sixteen songs (via Wikipedia), is set for release on April 19. A physical edition of the album will include bonus tracks. The upcoming eleventh studio album was written by Taylor Swift and produced by Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner.
