New application that I need you guys to test using Classic Palm OS Emulator..

Remote Access To Your Music And Desktop

With AstroApp you can remote control your computer and stream your MP3 music collection in real-time to your phone with easy to use search by artist or song name. Currently only Palm OS devices like the Treo and Centro are supported for MP3 music streaming. The software is free to try out and creating a username takes only seconds from the login screen. Additional information can be found under the "First Time Users" section for remote control and the "Mobile MP3" section for music streaming. The About section contains information about new releases and the current release is 2.14.

    Product Advantages:
    • No installation. Just launch a single application.
    • Works on all platforms with the same user interface.
    • Secure using Two-Way MD5 authentication and DES encryption.
    • Fastest networking layer available, which means all AstroFlower products are the fastest.

    Advantages for AstroAppPalm:
    • Streams MP3 music from your iTunes library or Windows Music folder.
    • Supports Sony and Palm 320 X 480 screens in Portrait mode.
    • Supports Sony and Palm 480 X 320 screens in Landscape mode.

    Version History:
What was added in Versions 2.14:
    • Added the MP3 Player to Windows and Mactintosh. Now you can listen to your local and remote songs from anywhere. To listen to local songs choose "MP3 Player..." under the "Main" menu. To listen to your music from anywhere else login to AstroCity from the machine that has your music. Then from any other computer login using the "Remote MP3 Login..." found under the "Login" menu. Use the same username and password and click "Listen". You will then be able to search and listen to all your music.
    • The files avcodec-51.dll and avutil-49.dll are now included with the downloaded version for Windows. In the previous 2 versions you would get an error about these not being present unless you did an automatic update via Login.
    • Fixed a bug that would cause AstroApp on Windows to freeze on the second launch of the application. This freeze would only happen if you did not build your music library file on the first launch of the application.
    • Older Palm OS devices like the Zire 72 that use WiFi to connect to the internet now support streaming of music without problems.

What was added in Versions 2.13:
    • Now you can add up to 10 directories that contain music for streaming to your Palm OS device. This is found under the "Edit Music Folder Locations..." menuitem under the "Main" menu. These directories can also be hard drives, network drives or the desktop.
    • When you pay the one time fee of $20 for "Lifetime Music Streaming" you get access to preferred artists that we make available. We will add 3 new artists per week that include all albums of each artist. These albums will be available for life. The artists and the songs will be searchable along with the songs you have on your home computer. If you do not login from your home computer you can still access these artists and albums when logged in from your Palm OS device. The 3 artists being added now are Madonna, Smashing Pumpkins and Nickelback.
    • On Palm OS you can now move to the next and previous songs when playing from the SD card. After a song finishes playing the next song in the selected directory will automatically start playing.
    • Minor improvements to the visual appearance of the MP3 player.

What was added in Versions 2.12:
    • The MP3 Player interface is completely redone and allows you to change color themes.
    • Added a sound amplitude visual effect when playing songs.
    • Now you can view and search songs by artist or search all songs at once.
    • Increased the limit to 6 million songs that you can have on your computer for searching and playing remotely.
    • Added a Power Saver mode which turns the screen off. This happens when the touch screen and buttons aren't used for 30 seconds. Touching the screen or a button turns the screen back on.

What was added in Versions 2.11:
    • Added the abilty to search the song list by song name or file name. As you type in characters in the search field those songs that have matching text anywhere in the name are filtered to the top of the list and the matching text is highlighted within the name. This is real time and an impressive way to find music using a handheld PDA.
    • Now you can switch between 128kbps and 64kbps remote streaming speeds in the MP3 Player dialog. This is useful if you have a basic DSL connection for your remote system because your music will skip at 128kbps but will stream great with 64kbps.
    • Added the ability to seek anywhere within a song while it's playing locally or remotely. You do this by clicking anywhere within the Played status bar and the song will pop to that position within the song.
    • In the previous version viewing the local list of MP3 files would show random characters instead of filenames. This is fixed in this version.

What was added in Versions 2.1:
    • Support for playing all MP3s has now been added for local and remote playing. Previously 320kbps files would not play because of an internal buffer being too small. This is fixed now.
    • Faster and better streaming of all MP3s. Previously MP3s larger then 160kbps would skip occasionally.
    • Now you can view the song list as file names and song names. The song name is stored inside the MP3 file as a tag.
    • Fixed a few bugs related to aliases and file links. If the MP3 file that a link or alias referred to was deleted it would crash AstroApp on Macintosh and on Windows a random file name would appear in the song list. This is fixed now.

What was added in Versions 2.0:
    • Decreased the time to move between songs from 4 seconds to 2 in the remote player.
    • Added a buffer status bar that shows how much of the 240K buffer is full in the remote player. When this buffer runs out a song stops until more of the song is received. On a connection slower than 15K per second this may happen.
    • Added a spinning hour glass when your remote song list is being built.
    • Added better handling of insertion and removal of an SD card on Palm OS. The song list is now opened automatically if the MP3 player is in use.
    • In AstroApp for Palm OS you no longer have to tap the screen on startup to get past the splash message.
    • Other minor improvements of the MP3 player.
