    grooveROM 5 is Sashimi compliant

All of your cabs, xml files, and more can be autoinstalled on first boot.
Simply download the attached Sashimi installer, and install to internal storage.
Then add your .cab files to the \Internal Storage\SASHIMI\Auto\Cab folder,
and they will be automatically installed on 2nd boot.

Click here for more info about Sashimi

    ----------------------------------------------------

This is a Sprint specific ROM.

(although users of other carriers have reported grooveROM running fine on their devices)

    ----------------------------------------------------

**Device must be unlocked (click here to unlock).
I take no responsibility if you mess up your phone.**

**It is highly recommended to flash to the Stock Sprint ROM before flashing to grooveROM 5.**

    ----------------------------------------------------
    to download
    grooveROM 5

**There is a known issue with this build -- device appears
to freeze at WM welcomehead on first boot.
It's not frozen, just tap the screen to start. **
    ----------------------------------------------------

    grooveROM 5 - Ultralite Theme:

    ----------------------------------------------------

    The Keyboards:

    grooveROM custom black SIP:

    FingerKbd:

    ----------------------------------------------------

    About The Dialers:

You have two options in Dialers.

You can use the default HTC stock dialer with custom grooveROM 5 skin
    :

Or enable the custom Ultralite/grooveROM 5 WM 6.5 dialer
with the "Disable HTC Phone Skin" cab (start>system tools -- restore with "remove programs"):
(This will also install BTIconNotifier, so that you can see your BT Taskbar icons without the HTD Dialer)

    ---------------------------------------------------------
If you want the Black skin on the HTC S2A Dialer back, look here:
    http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1867

If you want a different grooveROM skinned HTC dialpad, look here:
    http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1949

    ---------------------------------------------------------

If you want to reskin the WM default dialer back to stock or to match your theme, look here:
    http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1863

Please note, the HTC dialer may cause confilcts
when the 6.5 lock screen is active (including ring delay).

    **Note**
The wm6.5 S2A only works when device is in lock mode.
To make device auto-lock when pressing the power button, see here:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=386451

    ----------------------------------------------------

Go here for a cab that will restore the start menu to three columns instead of four:

    http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1035

    ----------------------------------------------------

    About Opera:

The built in opera has auto rotation disabled. To enable auto Gsensor rotation in Opera, install the cab in Start>SystemTools.

Flash is installed and working in this Opera version, however you need to enable plugins in Opera settings.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    About Titanium Plugins:

Plugins can be disabled, enabled, and moved with CHomeConfig in Start>System Tools.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Customizing the Start Menu:

You can customize the start menu with reStart (settings>system tools)

    Re: [070509] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5223003 (Build 230035060) [ROM Kitchen]

New Visual Kitchen from Evirus -- based on Bepe's Platform Rebuilder

Download the latest kitchen [070509] here

Here's a few things about the new Visual Kitchen:

    - This is a dual device kitchen. Make sure to select the correct configuration for your device.

    - This kitchen is pretty new for me, and I am still somewhat of a visual kitchen noob. As always, I will do my best to answer questions, but I'm learning this kitchen as I go, so bear with me.

    - This kitchen makes porting new builds from other devices relatively easy -- more on this in time..

    - The kitchen has duplicates overwrite feature, so you won't get BuildOS duplicate errors, but what this also means is that if you do have duplicates, the first in the chain will get overwritten by the last. There's an option to alert of duplicates, but you gotta look.

    - This kitchen handles OEMs differently than older kitchens, so you can either put your OEM's in the appropriate OEM folder (you can delete option.xml), but you can't disable any packages in OEM folders in the kitchen. If you want to be able to disable packages, you need to convert them to EXT packages. What you do is take your old style OEMs and put them all in one folder, and drag the entire folder onto EXT_PAckages_rebuilder.exe in the kitchen, and it will convert for you. Then you put the new OEM in the appropriate Device sub folder of the EXT folder -- ie: EXT/RAPH800/23001/RAPH800_External_Packages. If your package contains modules, you need to move the module into the files folder of that package.

    - To select or deselect EXT or SYS packages, just double click it in the kitchen, once you've got the kitchen running. Packages in the OEM folder can't be deselected, so if you want to remove any of them, you need to remove the package manually.

    - To run the kitchen, double click erviuskitchen.exe and the kitchen will open. Then choose load rom in the upper left, and choose the latest groveROM build. This will automatically load the stock settings for my ROM.

    - To build ROM, click create ROM in the upper left. Watch the bottom of the screen for progress. Once done, your new RUU_signed.nbm (the rom) will appear in the RELEASE_RAPH800 folder.

    - By default, the ROMs are build with a 6MB pagepool, so be sure to change it to your desired PP with the PP changer -- I perfer 24MB. Then flash the rom with the Custom_RUU.exe as normal. Or you can change in in the rom build by clicking the "other" button in the upper left before cooking.

    --------------------------------
    OLD KITCHEN:

This is a modified version of Calkulin's kitchen. Thanks to Calcu for the kitchen tools and OEM base. Thanks to
    lllboredlll for the custom kitchen.

Here's a quick and dirty guide to cooking with the grooveROM 5 Kitchen:

    1. Download and extract the grooveROM Diamond kitchen to your computer

    2. Download and extract the latest grooveOEMbase [Diamond] to the root of the kitchen folder.

    3. Download the latest Diamond sys and rom folders here [23001], and extract to the root of your kitchen.

    4. You can manually remove any of the program folders in the OEM or SYS folders before cooking if you don't want that program or wait and do it with the kitchen if that folder has an "option.xml" file in it. If it doesn't, you have to remove it manually.

    5. If you want to add a program, you will need to find the OEM package somewhere at PPCGeeks (or elsewhere). Calu's kitchen has lots of OEMs that you can download. So does TobeyChris' kitchens. RSToyGuy also has a great thread in this forum with lots of VGA OEMs. Make sure that you delete and redundant files that are in the OEM folder when adding new ones. Redundant files cause errors when building.

    6. Run the Build Your Own grooveROM.exe in the root of the kitchen, then select Option 1 - Build a Custom ROM, then then BuildOS will open. Select the programs you want by checking the appropriate boxes. Once your done, click the green button in the upper left corner.

    7. Give it a few minutes to process. If there are any errors, that likely means that you have two of the same file somewhere in your OEM folder. Search for the file, and delete one of them - then re run BuildOS. Once Build completes by saying "done" in the bottom right, close BuildOS with the "x" in the upper right corner.

    8. A bunch of different programs will run for about five minutes or so, and then you will be taken to either a RUU (Rom Update Utility) or a PP (PagePool) changer. The PagePool changer is optional -- I'm using 24MB PP these days, but anything between 0 and 32 is fine. Close PP changer, the RUU opens.

    9. Flash and enjoy.

    **Important Notes:

    1. You must use my OEMdrivers folder with the SYS. If you seperate the two, you will need to add cprog.exe and tpcutil.dll to the sys.

    2. I don't care what you do with my kitchen. You can use any OEM's or files you find, but please give me the proper credit if you post a public ROM with elements of my work, or repost any files. Thanks.
