This is an extremely geeky app. The Metal Detector app available only for Android is exactly what it says on the tin. By making use of the HTC T-Mobile G1’s built-in magnetometer which the G1 uses as a compass, G1 users will be able to customise and configure the app in terms of sound effects, vibrations, sensitivities to their liking.

It seems like the sensitivity won’t be great for users who plan on detecting smaller metal objects, but if its just a case of missing keys, the Metal Detector app running on the G1

yeah its al interesting the more i read learn and see all these apps i am wm fan but i am shore i will give this android ago to lol but first soon tp2 and i hope the somehow can port the hero android to tp2 lets hope ohterwise i have to buy g1 sometime just not fan of the model of the phone
