ASTRO is a file manager for the Android platform that let’s you do quit a bit. Out of all the file management programs available for the Android platform, ASTRO seems to be the most complete.
With this app you can view both the main storage and the SD card storage of your Android device. To navigate through the folders you can use the trackball or your finger. The four buttons at the top allow you to quickly get to where you want to go. The folder button brings you to whatever folder you set as home, the up arrow brings you up a level, and the back and forward arrows allow you to go where you just came from.
Pressing the menu button opens up a good deal more options. You can change your view, paste, manage your applications, create a new directory, and check out your bookmarks. Pressing down on a directory or a file will load up a series of options that you’re probably already familiar with if you’ve every used a computer before.
ASTRO is really useful and is definitely a must have app for anyone who enjoys delving into the deeper aspects of their device. However, if you’re more of a surface user who doesn’t want to get their hands dirty, it’s probably best to avoid this app.
