    [RELEASE] Palringo v201 NEW BETA 12/18/09

    Palringo version 2.00 beta 3 (Freeware)
    Requirements: PocketPC 2003(SE), WM5, WM6
    Overview: Palringo is the ultimate Instant Messaging client for mobile phones and computers.


    Now you can chat with all your buddies, no matter what IM they use, all from one universal Instant Messenger.

    * Yahoo! ® Messenger
    * Google Talk â„¢
    * ICQ ®
    * Jabber ®
    * iChat® / MobileMe ®

    - Express yourself in chat with emoticons and smileys to show your friends how you’re feeling.
    - Send voice messages at the click of a button so your friends can hear your voice.
    - Show your buddies what you’re looking at by sharing photos and pictures in chats.
    - See where your friends are right now with location and let everyone know where you are.
    - Create groups so you can send messages to everyone at the same time. Or search the existing groups to find chat rooms you’re interested in and meet new people.
    - Broadcast what you’re doing and where you are with your status.
    - Automatically update your status on social networking sites directly from Palringo.


    BETA 6/11

    Change log

    * Admins and mods are now at the top of the group lists
    * Turning 'Tabbed Chats' on or off no longer closes all open chat windows.
    * Ability to mute/unmute groups (turns off notifications for particular groups).
    * Windows Mobile will now do extra detection to find the Internet connection, since the OS doesn't always tell the truth.
    * Clickable links with mouseover effect in chat windows.
    * Avatars in chat windows.
    * Smiley icons in chat windows.
    * Installer/Uninstaller for Windows Mobile now works flawlessly on test device in all possible init states.
    * Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab shortcuts should work in Tabbed Chat
    * Premium users have access to a test theme.
    * Premium users have access to bridge history and today/home screen plugins.
    * Premium users no longer get "via Palringo" tagged onto bridge status messages.
    * Premium users no longer get adverts (when enabled on server).
    * Spanish translation added.
    * Any translation files which are sparsely populated are filtered out.
    * Removed auto-expansion contact list feature.
    * Various usability and performance improvements.

    NEW UPDATE BETA ONLY FOR BOTH WINDOWS DESKTOP AND MOBILE

    nice update on this app weesje :) dont use like i use to anymore but still comes in handy to jump on for a few to talk to ice or someone :)

                  I use parlingo when I am near a power source and fring when i'm not. I'm about to download it to try out the updated one.

                    i have never had issue with palringo..maybe you guys have it on during startup.disable it and you'll be fine

                      Its going to be pretty hard for any palringo update to improve battery life to a noticable effect. I say this because when you are on palringo, you are constantly connected to the internet and sending/receiving info. Basically the same as surfing the web constantly, just with less rendering.

                        I'm pretty sure it a question for the developer, but why dnes a program like Fring which works the same way in essence use less battery power?

                          well the reason is you can do voice, text through palringo, aim, yahoo, msn, skype, etc...... the nmore that you are connected to the more data that you draw from your device....

                            Forgot all about, Thanks, wonder if I stay connected to one IM service if battery life will increase in parlingo. Off to try it

                              yes it would give you better battery life but if you use all of them you will have to have thosee connected to talk to those people..... but if you dont mind a little slower speeds like if you odnt use voice just while using it force your device to use 1x at all times and than you will get better battery life also... you can find a tutorial i wrote here:
