Quickoffice® Mobile Office Suite (Word, Excel & WiFi)
It appears that the race to be the first full-featured office suite to enter the App Store has come to an end and Quickoffice is the winner. Quickoffice is comprised of three apps  Quickword, Quicksheet and Quickoffice Files and is selling for $19.99. As for what the office suite offers;
Quickword allows you to create and edit Microsoft Word files and has support for viewing and editing .doc (97-2003) files, viewing .docx (2007) files we well as .txt files. Some of the other features include;
* Cut/Copy/Paste
* Enhanced on-screen magnifier
* Undo/Redo text changes
* Auto-save and Auto-restore
* Text formatting to include Bold, Italics, Font sizes and Font styles
* Landscape keyboard
Quicksheet allows you to create and edit Microsoft Excel files and has support for editing and viewing .xls (97-2003) files as well as viewing .xlsx (2007) files. Other features of Quicksheet include;
+ A professional grade calculation engine
+ Ability to insert new Rows and Columns
+ Ability to “easily†switch between sheets in a Workbook
+ Auto-save and Auto-restore
+ Support for advanced Excel features to include Implicit Intersections, Array Formulas and Named Ranges
+ Ability to “easily†change Inputs and Recalculate
As for the final app that is included, that is Quickoffice Files and it has a variety of uses. It allows for remote access of your MobileMe iDisk account and the ability to transfer files from your computer using Wi-Fi. Additionally, Quickoffice Files also allows you to save files on your device for offline viewing and can be password protected.
Additionally, two of those three apps are available individually. Quicksheet is available for $6.99 and Quickoffice Files is available for $1.99. As of now, I could not find an App Store listing for Quickword by itself, of course that may be still in the approval stages.
Now that Quickoffice is available I wonder how many people are still going to wait until Documents To Go becomes available. For me I have used Documents To Go in the past on other mobile platforms and have liked it, but think Quickoffice will be suitable for my limited needs. At least in my case, it seems like the winner and my purchase was really just to the suite that was first to enter the App Store.
